McLaren preparado para prescindir de uno de sus pilotos

Sauber Still Searching for Teammate to Join Nico Hülkenberg in 2025
The Sauber team is still on the lookout for the right teammate to join Nico Hülkenberg in 2025, and a McLaren driver could be the answer to their needs. Sauber is eyeing McLaren’s junior driver, Gabriel Bortoleto, who has been given the green light to negotiate with the Hinwil-based team. Changes are on the horizon for the 2024 season, with Lewis Hamilton set to join Ferrari, Kimi Antonelli taking his place at Mercedes, Hülkenberg donning Sauber’s colors, and Carlos Sainz strengthening the Williams team. While Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu continue to represent Sauber, Bortoleto is emerging as the desired candidate by Sauber team principal Mattia Binotto. Despite still being a part of McLaren’s development program, Bortoleto may be loaned out, allowing him to gain experience before potentially moving to McLaren in the future. The 19-year-old Brazilian is highly regarded for his talents, having won the Formula 3 championship in 2023 and currently holding the second spot in the Formula 2 standings. Stay tuned for updates as the situation develops. [Source: GPFans]
