Red Bull detalla la significativa vulnerabilidad del RB20

Red Bull Admits Challenges with RB20 Car

During the recent race weekend in Italy, Red Bull Racing team principal Helmut Marko acknowledged that there are significant issues plaguing the RB20 car this season. Marko revealed that the team discovered a fundamental problem with the car, which is highly sensitive to even the slightest changes.

The once-dominant Red Bull Racing team has seen a stark decline in performance this season, with Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez finishing seventh and eighth in qualifying at Monza, only to end up sixth and eighth in the race. This poor showing at the Italian Grand Prix highlighted the considerable struggles faced by the team.

As a result, McLaren now sits just eight points behind Red Bull in the constructors’ championship standings. Marko emphasized the urgent need for action, stating, “We realized during the race weekend in Italy that there is a huge and fundamental problem with the RB20. The good news is that everyone is working hard to find a solution.”

Marko explained that the RB20 is overly sensitive to various factors such as temperature, fuel level, and tire compounds, leading to unpredictable performance. The team plans to conduct extensive tire tests at Monza in a bid to rectify these issues and improve their on-track performance.

In light of these challenges, Red Bull is under pressure to address the issues with their car swiftly to maintain their competitive edge in the Formula 1 championship.
