«Max Verstappen podría estar próximo a abandonar Red Bull Racing»

David Coulthard has ranked Red Bull Racing’s top three drivers of all time and issued a warning about the future, claiming that loyalty is a foreign concept to Formula 1 drivers. In an interview with Motorsport.com, Coulthard shared his views on the best drivers to have ever raced for Red Bull. “You can’t take anything away from Seb’s four world titles, but if you look at his overall career, Seb wasn’t as impressive towards the end as he was when he won his championships,” Coulthard stated. He also noted that Michael Schumacher at Mercedes wasn’t as remarkable as he was during his Ferrari days, emphasizing the notion that each driver has their prime time, but he believes Max Verstappen should top the list.

Following Verstappen, Coulthard placed Sebastian Vettel in second position due to his four world titles. As for the third spot, Coulthard mentioned Mark Webber ahead of Daniel Ricciardo, attributing Webber’s willingness to take risks over Ricciardo’s more cautious approach.

In a surprising addition, Coulthard remarked on the notion of loyalty in Formula 1, stating that it doesn’t truly exist. He indirectly cautioned Verstappen’s fans to be prepared for a potential switch in the future, highlighting past instances of drivers moving teams despite prior success and contractual obligations. “None of these F1 drivers are loyal. It’s the nature of the beast – selfishness goes hand in hand with being an athlete,” Coulthard concluded.
